At the port authority, our vision is for the Port of Vancouver to be the world’s most sustainable port. To us, this means a healthy environment, economic prosperity through trade and thriving communities. We are working to create a zero-emission port by 2050 in alignment with federal government goals. To help us reach our goal, we are engaging industry, government, Indigenous groups, communities and other stakeholders to define what sustainability means for the Port of Vancouver.

In line with this vision and our public interest mandate as a Canada Port Authority, we have designed Roberts Bank Terminal 2 to protect and enhance the environment. Our approach to development and design has been shaped by extensive environmental studies, Indigenous knowledge and priorities, and engagement with government, stakeholders and the public.
